I do worry about what he will eat but on the other hand, I know he will eat something rather than starve. My son will likely go to boarding school within an hour from home. I tell him he cannot go on a date and order chicken nuggets. I starting eating everything except what I was force fed. Then in late high school I had some kind and of epiphany and are potato salad on vacation. I remember being picky and think anything with melted cheese, mayonnaise, or casseroley was absolutely disgusting. I worry about la k of protein but the dr reassured me. He will not be malnourished as long as he is eating. The pediatrician says a picky eater is ok. My son is just over 6' 160lbs perfect physique. When I was young my father force fed me vegetables and now I cannot eat most of them.
If he puts anything else in his mouth he gags.
Maybe I made the mistake of refusing to let him go to bed hungry because I gave him an alternative if he did not like what was for dinner. He ate everything as a baby but slowly started pushing food away as a toddler. Veggies only raw carrots, cucumbers, corn.
My 13 year old son only eats the following entre foods: pizza, chicken tenders, bacon, plain pasta with butter (this is new and if it isn't quite right, he gets grossed out), or a peanut butter sandwich (certain kinds).
